The small community of Highland, Arkansas took a devastating hit from the tornado.
 

Highland is located just south of the Missouri border.
 

On Friday, members of the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church remained positive as they cut apart trees that surrounded their church left in ruins.
 

"I’m not going to despair the loss of a building,” said Chaplain Carl Faulker, “I just feel something good will come of it."
 

Just south of the church on Highway 63/412, the business district of the community was virtually flattened.
 

On Friday afternoon, Governor Beebe toured the area with FEMA.
 

FEMA’s Director David Paulison was supposed to be there but he was delayed by a meeting with President Bush in Tennessee.
 

However, the Govenor said he was pleased with FEMA’s response so far.
 

That's a far cry from his reaction to the tornado response in Dumas last year.
 

"They didn't have a harsher critic than me after Dumas, I thought their response to Dumas was terrible. But they've done a 180. FEMA's been here since the get go. They're had a super response," Governor Beebe said.
